Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of nutrition-related programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic planning, technical leadership and programme management to strengthen the organisation's nutrition portfolio.
  • Develop comprehensive programme plans, delivery models, monitor frameworks and scale-up roadmaps for new and existing nutrition initiatives and programmes.
  • Provide thought leadership on nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programme and research development, adopting best practices and promoting cross-sectoral linkages and integration of cross-cutting issues.
  • Manage independently different complex programmes and initiatives, end-to-end responsibility from onboarding grants, management and closure.

Qualifications and Experience

  • PhD, Master's or PG Diploma in Public Health Nutrition, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, Food and Nutrition policies and programmes, Public Policy, Development Studies and related disciplines.
  • 15 years of experience in public health nutrition, food and related programme development, research and policy.
  • Prior experience in philanthropy and grant-making will be an asset.
  • Experience in research and programme evaluation will be essential.

Skills and Competencies

  • A deep commitment, passion and experience in the social development sector are necessary.
  • Awareness and knowledge of field realities and social complexities with a focus on communities.
  • A good understanding and experience of using theory of change-based programme design.
