Workday Functional Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Workday Functional Consultant. As a key member of our Digital Solutions team, you will be responsible for delivering complex solutions across client implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and prioritize work for self, assist lead by providing inputs on in all the phases of delivery lifecycle, collate and report status/impediments with the greater project team.
  2. Lead / Manage – Small implementation projects / Launch implementations, manage workload for the team, assist team in all the phases of delivery lifecycle, collate and report status/impediments with the greater project team.
  3. Develop complex configuration for clients and Leads, manage data transformation and perform EIB Data loads.
  4. Provide go-live assistance and ongoing support.
  5. Lead and Involve in Data conversion Activities pertaining to Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll
  6. Coordinate with the Leads for project delivery
  7. Coordinate with the EM / PM and Client for project delivery
  8. Multi-task and engage on multiple projects at a time for lead activities.
  9. End to end ownership of assigned projects
  10. Provide leadership and key stakeholders with the information and venues to make effective, timely decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements gathering, Definition - Investigate the business / technical requirements for the client's Absence or Time Tracking needs, work collaboratively with business analysts and architects to clarify requirements and to achieve a consensus on the organization's needs and priorities.
  2. Provide a overview to the client.
  3. Design the Workday solution to meet the needs.
  4. Conducting sessions with client personnel to verify the required aspects of the concerned Module.
  5. Ability to Configure based on the filled Workbook.
  6. Perform self-reviews and smoke testing of the work delivered and review peer's work.
  7. Application Testing – Assist clients with the testing of the concerned Functional Module. Testing is driven by the scenarios from the client team.
  8. Production Support – Includes the practices and disciplines of supporting the Workday solution for a period of time post deployment.
  9. Migration Activities and Production Rollout – Assist with the rollout of the Workday solution into the production environment.
  10. Take timely, appropriate action to address stakeholder needs/expectations.
  11. Identify and manage issue resolution including escalation as needed.
  12. Interact and communicate effectively with mid and senior level management.
  13. Works with senior level management for understanding the future priorities and plans.
  14. Develop & manage communication plans with stakeholders aimed at improved collaboration.
  15. Leverage synergies between global information systems

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Experience with Workday Project Lifecycle
  2. Strong knowledge of Workday at least of the Module - Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll
  3. In-depth knowledge of Workday object model of and solution design approach around it
  4. Knowledge of Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll functional areas
  5. Self-motivated and ability to learn quickly through individual research and self-training.
  6. Ability to absorb new technologies and features quickly.
  7. Ability to train users in a classroom setting.
  8. Effective knowledge transfer skills in non-classroom environment.
  9. Passion for customer service.
  10. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain a home office for remote work.

  4. Excellent interpersonal skills
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Excellent Presentation Skills.
  7. Adaptability to learn new skills.
  8. Self-driven
  9. Manage multiple projects & teams.

Eligibility:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Workday & overall 12 years' experience is minimum.

Education:

  1. B.E /B.Tech /MCA /BSc.
