
Product Growth Specialist

Experience Required: 5–8 years (preferably in publishing & ed-tech)
Role Overview:
The Category Lead will be responsible for driving growth, market share, and profitability of assigned product categories. The role involves category strategy development, product lifecycle management, competitive analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure category success.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Category Management & Strategy
- Define and execute category growth strategy in alignment with company objectives.
- Identify opportunities for new titles, formats, or product lines based on market trends and customer demand.
- Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and pricing analysis.
- 2. Product Planning & Lifecycle
- Work with editorial and production teams to develop new products within the category.
- Ensure timely launches of new titles and manage their go-to-market plans.
- Monitor product performance and take corrective actions for underperforming SKUs.
- 3. Sales & Marketing Alignment
- Partner with sales teams to drive category sales across offline & online channels.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for campaigns, promotions, and visibility initiatives.
- Provide category insights and product training to the salesforce.
- 4. Data & Performance Management
- Analyze sales data, consumer insights, and industry reports to refine category strategy.
- Track and report category KPIs (revenue, profitability, market share, penetration).
- Manage category P&L, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
- 5. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with editorial, design, production, supply chain, and digital marketing teams.
- Key Requirements:
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in category management, product management, or brand management (preferably in publishing or ed-tech).
- Strong analytical, strategic, and execution skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
