Transaction Processing Specialist Role Overview

The Transaction Processing Specialist is responsible for timely, complete and accurate processing of transactions within their area of responsibility. This involves ensuring all relevant controls are performed and internal and external policies/guidelines are applied in accordance with regulators' requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Apply business rules and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients to provide timely support for complex or time-sensitive tasks.
  • Contribute to product development by providing insights on client needs and market trends.
  • Evaluate operational risks and escalate to line managers as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in technical areas, particularly reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and local language.
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual teams and matrix organizations.
