Objective:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to validate and characterize silicon behavior against design expectations.

This role requires developing and executing post-silicon test plans for validating SoC or IP functionality. The successful candidate will have expertise in digital and mixed-signal systems, SoC architecture, and standard interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute post-silicon test plans for validating SoC or IP functionality.
  • Bring-up new silicon in lab and run system-level validation tests.
  • Debug hardware issues across digital/analog/mixed-signal blocks, collaborating with design and verification teams.
  • Automate validation and data collection using scripting languages.
  • Use lab equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG debuggers, pattern generators, etc.
  • Perform functional, performance, power, and interoperability testing.
  • Log and track bugs, support root cause analysis, and validate fixes in hardware revisions.
  • Provide detailed documentation and test reports to support silicon qualification.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with RTL and pre-silicon design flows for cross-debugging (bonus).
  • Understanding of DFT/scan, MBIST, or JTAG debug protocols is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis, performance benchmarking, and failure isolation.
  • Strong understanding of digital and mixed-signal systems, SoC architecture, and standard interfaces (PCIe, I2C, SPI, USB, etc.).
  • Good hands-on skills in Python, Perl, or Shell scripting for test automation.
  • Experience with lab instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, power supply, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or VLSI Design.
  • Exposure to validation of IP blocks like SERDES, PHYs, PLLs, ADCs, or CPU subsystems.
  • Knowledge of post-silicon debug tools such as Lauterbach, Trace32, ARM DAP, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
