Junior QA Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is well-versed in testing methodologies and eager to apply hands-on experience in test case creation, execution, and automation. You will play a crucial role in understanding requirements, identifying bugs, and collaborating with development teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand Project Requirements Thoroughly: Ensure comprehensive test coverage by thoroughly understanding project requirements.
  • Create Detailed Test Cases: Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and prepare necessary test data.
  • Perform Test Execution and Bug Reporting: Perform Test Execution, accurately report bugs, and track them to closure.
  • Participate in Triage Meetings: Actively participate in Triage meetings with development and client teams to discuss and resolve issues.
  • Develop Test Automation Scripts: Develop Test Automation Scripts for Regression Testing using Selenium WebDriver and the JAVA API stack.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Education: BE (CS), BCA, BCS, or any Graduation in Computer stream with a first-class degree (>=60%).
  2. Must have Completed Training in Software Testing: Must have completed training in Software Testing from a reputed training institute.
  3. Technical Skills: Well-versed with testing terminology and life cycle.
  4. Hands-on Experience in Writing and Executing Test Cases: Hands-on experience in writing and executing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
  5. Expertise in Various Types of Testing: Expertise in various types of testing, including Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, and Regression Testing.
  6. Practical Skills in Test Automation: Practical skills in Test Automation using Selenium WebDriver and the JAVA API stack.
  7. Knowledge of Automation Frameworks: Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Page Object Model, Keyword Driven, Data Driven, and Hybrid.
  8. Professional Skills: Good at estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities.
  9. Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
  10. Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology: Knowledge of Agile development methodology and exposure to using Jira or similar tools.
  11. Good Communication Skills: Good communication skills (verbal and written).
