Job Title: GRC Consultant

A GRC consultant plays a pivotal role in an organization's success. As part of the GRC implementation team, they are responsible for implementing GRC systems related to policy compliance, security requirements governance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop client initiatives focused on reducing technology risk, improving governance, and ensuring compliance with policies and external regulations.
  • Evaluate business and IT risks to ensure a secure environment.
  • Develop IT security standards, procedures, and controls to manage risks and improve client security positioning through process improvement, automation, and continuous evolution of capabilities.
  • Assess information security threats and their impact on clients' IT environment.
  • Support senior team members in analyzing requirements and designing clients' information security posture, including legal, regulatory, and scheme security requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of work streams for clients in compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, EU GDPR, and Bahrain PDPL, as well as incident management disciplines.
  • Perform internal and external information security risk assessments, investigate incidents, and assess vulnerability management, scans, patching status, secure baselines, penetration test results, phishing, and social engineering tests and attacks.
  • Document and report control failures and gaps to stakeholders, providing remediation guidance and preparing management reports to track remediation activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and technological advancements, serving as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, ITSM, and COBIT standards is preferred.
  • Experience with risk management principles and associated methodologies.
  • Ideal qualifications include CEH, CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
  • A proven ability to make sound decisions and judgments under tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to drive change in a collaborative way both internally and externally.
