Junior Research Associate Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Junior Research Associate to join our team. This role will provide the opportunity to work on diverse development sector projects, including research, monitoring & evaluation, digital solutions, and policy analysis.

The Junior Research Associate will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary research, supporting policy analysis, and assisting in data collection and preliminary analysis. Additionally, they will prepare research briefs and summary reports, support needs assessment studies and impact evaluations, assist in survey design, and help maintain project databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on various development sector topics
  • Support senior team members in policy analysis and research publication development
  • Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preliminary analysis
  • Prepare research briefs and summary reports
  • Support needs assessment studies and impact evaluations
Data Management & Visualization:
  • Assist in designing surveys and developing data collection tools
  • Help maintain project databases and documentation
Content Development & Social Media Support:
  • Assist in creating information materials, including booklets and educational content
  • Support script development for awareness content
  • Help document success stories and case studies
  • Create engaging social media content
  • Assist in social media posting and community engagement activities
Required Qualifications:Educational Background:
  • Masters degree in Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, MSW, MBA (Rural Management) or related field
  • Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi/Odia
  • Clear understanding and fluency in Odia language (reading/writing/speaking)
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation tools
