As a key member of the organization's cybersecurity team, this role plays a pivotal part in enhancing the organization's overall security posture. The Assistant Vice President – SOC and Cyber Security Awareness is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Security Operations Centre, driving continuous improvement in threat detection and incident response, and leading strategic initiatives to boost cybersecurity awareness across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of core security principles, threat vectors, and controls. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as an analytical mindset to analyze data from phishing campaigns or learning platforms.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Designing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity awareness program tailored to various internal audiences.
- Developing Standard Operating Procedures for SOC operations while continuously refining processes.
- Creating engaging security-related content for emailers, videos, infographics, and e-learnings.
- Developing role-based security training and monitoring training completion rates using data analytics.
- Ensuring SOC operations remain compliant with regulatory frameworks and audit standards.
The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate across organizational levels and manage stakeholders. They will also have a strong ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
