This role will support the Deputy General Counsel in driving strategic initiatives to evolve and improve legal processes and procedures.
The Legal Counsel will identify legal and regulatory issues in service or product offering initiatives and customer agreements, including awareness of privacy and data security issues, and work cross-functionally with appropriate teams to create solutions and minimize risk.
Key responsibilities include engaging strategically in risk assessment/mitigation and developing innovative approaches to legal issues in support of business objectives.
Other key responsibilities include providing practical and creative legal advice on a broad range of topics in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
The Legal Counsel will also work closely with teams charged with generating business and proactively establish relationships across the legal team and with other departmental leads and key contributors.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to various stakeholders;
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
