Visual Art Specialist - Mobile Gaming

  • Job Description

As a skilled Visual Art Specialist, you will play a crucial role in crafting captivating 2D characters and backgrounds for our mobile gaming titles. You will work closely with the production team to ensure timely and efficient creation of high-quality art assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and illustrate visually appealing 2D characters tailored for mobile gaming platforms.
  2. Develop stunning 2D backgrounds, props, clothing, and other visual assets that bring our games to life.
  3. Collaborate with the production pipeline to adhere to technical guidelines and file specifications.
  4. Export and assemble final assets from source files, following established protocols.
  5. Stay up-to-date with new tools, techniques, and artistic workflows to continuously improve your skills.
  6. Maintain consistency by matching existing art styles and accurately identifying differences across visual styles.
  7. Test and integrate assets in Unity to ensure seamless in-game performance.
  8. Play our games to assess aesthetics, user experience, and gameplay flow, providing actionable feedback on visual and gameplay enhancements.
  9. Continuously adapt to new techniques and tools, staying current with industry standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the gaming or animation industry, with a strong focus on mobile game development.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, with advanced 2D character illustration skills.
  • Experience in creating 2D characters, backgrounds, props, clothing, and other visual assets for mobile games.
  • Ability to follow and contribute to a structured production pipeline, ensuring efficient and technically accurate asset delivery.
  • Skilled in exporting and assembling images from art files according to defined technical parameters and protocols.
  • Quick to learn and apply new technical skills, tools, and workflows.
  • Strong aesthetic sense with a solid foundation in graphic design principles.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining thorough working habits.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Passionate about mobile gaming, with hands-on experience in designing and producing art specifically for mobile game titles.
  • Capable of matching a wide range of art styles and visually distinguishing between them for consistent and cohesive asset creation.
