Medical Scribe

We are seeking a skilled Medical Scribe to join our team in this exciting role. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience as a Live Medical Scriber and possess strong administrative writing skills, reporting skills, and organizational skills.

The Medical Scribe will be responsible for reviewing physician dictation and transcribing it to clinical notes in EMR/Billing systems. They will also prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physicians, ensuring medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation.

The successful candidate will update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient's record. They will also prepare and send all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.

In addition, the Medical Scribe will monitor the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures, comply with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission, and perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as familiarity with ICD-X codes and CPT Procedures. They will also be skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs.
