Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a senior mainframe developer. This role involves building, enhancing, and maintaining mainframe applications using Cobol, JCL, and other related technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with tech leads to ensure efficient completion of assigned tasks, meeting business requirements, staying within scope, and delivering on time.
  • Play a key role in resolving technical roadblocks involving mainframe technologies.
  • Develop new, enhance existing mainframe Cobol programs, JCLs, utilizing mainframe utilities and tools to complete tasks.
  • Execute mainframe batch jobs, monitor, and troubleshoot any roadblocks with batch processes in collaboration with the project leads.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Mainframe technologies: Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2, Mainframe utilities, and tools.
  • Experience working collaboratively using Agile Scrum Kanban methodology.
  • Proficiency in Linux, shell scripts, regular expressions is preferred.
  • Experience working with BFSI projects is preferred.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Fluency in English.
  • An excellent communicator, able to discuss technical, business requirements with clients and internal teams based at onshore, India locations.
  • A high level of attention to detail, track record of authoring high-quality documentation.
  • An organized approach, manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
  • A self-starter but team mindset, work autonomously and as part of a global team.
