Job Overview

The Senior Commission System Engineer is a technical expert with broad experience in SAP Commissions, Oracle/HANA databases, and various software development tools.

This individual will lead the technical aspects of systems development for projects and solution support, defining project plans, test plans, deployment plans, and guiding a team of developers to create well-architected and technically sound solutions.

About the Role

  • Understand business needs and scenarios to propose and deliver fitting technical solutions.
  • Support business analysts and other project team members during functional requirements definition.
  • Perform high-level technical impact assessments, assist in detailed analysis, requirements capture, and project planning.
  • Configure, design, build, test, and deploy solutions to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Lead the solution and architectural design of SSFIM to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain, create rules, calculations, workflows, and data administration of SSFIM.
  • Work on application architecture definition for various software development projects and maintenance activities.
  • Definition and organization of development tasks and accurate estimation of these tasks.
  • Leading, mentoring, and providing expert advice to developers.
  • Reviewing code and systems solutions developed by developers.
  • Identification and ownership of technical project risks and issues.
  • Designing visual user and reporting experiences, including dashboards.
  • Designing, developing, and managing reports using SAP Embedded Analytics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Operating Systems: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows.
  • Languages/Technology: SAP Commissions, Oracle/Hana, PL/SQL, Crystal Report, WEBI Report, Embedded Analytics.
  • Databases: Oracle, HANA, Snowflake.
  • Development Tools: TOAD, PLSQL Developer, DBeaver, PUTTY, WINSCP, IPSwitch.
  • 10+ years of SAP Commissions specialist experience.
  • Technology-related bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 end-to-end implementation experience in SAP Commissions with Oracle/HANA as a backend database.
  • At least 10 years' experience of AMS activities especially ticket handling.
  • Configure compensation plans utilizing credits, measurements, incentives, and deposit rules.
  • Load reference, comp plan, and transactions data on Commissions UI or from Dropbox.
  • Expertise in comp elements like classifiers, lookup tables, rate tables, formulae etc.
  • Execute pipelines and analyze results.
  • Data integration setup on Commissions and associated SPM Home environment.
  • Familiarity with Commission DB tables and writing advanced SQL, PLSQL queries, and stage hooks.
