Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team for an exciting long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in software development testing.

Job Description
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during requirement gathering to understand business and functional needs.
  • Translate product requirements into effective test scenarios and test cases.
  • Participate in business requirement discussions and translate them into actionable test strategies.
  • Lead discussions independently to clarify requirements and data dependencies.
  • Work closely with development and product teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to test strategy and planning for new features and enhancements.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks is a plus, but not the primary focus.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of SDET experience with exposure to Settlement or Capital Markets.
  • Strong understanding of trade life cycle and related financial processes testing.
  • Proven ability to lead requirement discussions and derive test cases independently.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (Java 8, JUnit, SoapUI, Postman, Selenium, TestNG, JavaScript, Jest, Rest Assured, Cucumber, testing methodologies frameworks TDD BDD & Agile Methodologies).
  • Experience in testing REST API's and messaging solutions such as Solace, MQ, Kafka, relational/NoSQL database concepts.
  • Experience in framework ownership, test strategy, and mentoring juniors.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
