**Netcool System Administrator Role Overview:**

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong understanding of Netcool system administration and have experience with various web applications.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of IBM Tivoli Netcool suite of products and associated web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Netcool systems to support business operations and deliver high-quality services to customers.
  • Perform regular assessments of operational, application, and platform health and report to the performance lead.
  • Develop change plans and seek approvals.
  • Operate and ensure high availability of services.
  • Regularly update automation scripts and optimize existing working methods.

Strong expertise in OSS, specifically in fault and inventory management domains, is required, as well as experience supporting and onboarding bespoke applications into strategic solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience working in projects where Netcool was deployed.
  • Hands-on experience creating and administering Netcool probe rules, impact policies, omnibus triggers, procedures, and gateway configurations.
  • Good understanding of cloud and DevOps technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Messagebus.
  • In-depth understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and system administration.
  • Strong understanding of SNMP, syslog, API, and SQL.
  • Sound knowledge of Oracle databases and query language.
  • Experience integrating and interfacing applications (InfoVista, Remedy, etc.).
