Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Materials Engineer to join our team. This role involves the selection, specification, and procurement of piping materials for various projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field, with experience in piping materials, selection, and procurement.

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to source materials that meet project specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance, and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations, such as ASME, ASTM, API, etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in piping or materials engineering is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Piping Material Engineer or in a similar role within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or power industries.
  • Proven experience with piping materials, selection, and procurement in a project-based environment.
  • Familiarity with various piping materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy materials, etc.) and industry codes/standards.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of piping materials and specifications.
  • In-depth understanding of international standards, codes, and regulations (ASME, ASTM, API, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
