Energy Transition Leader

Climatic opportunities exist in Asia's transition to renewable energy sources. We seek an India-based professional to spearhead business expansion initiatives and foster innovative finance-focused approaches for the energy transition.

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in climate, energy transition, finance, and business development is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong connections within the Indian power and/or finance community are essential.
  • A deep understanding of India's electricity, capital, and financial markets is vital.
  • Proven track records in deal closure, particularly in debt and/or equity financing in India, including project finance, private debt, loan syndication, and structured finance, are preferred.
  • Prior experience in country team management or a supervisory role is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging established networks to develop, structure, and close financial transactions for current and upcoming energy transition projects in India.
  • Collaborating with leadership to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, encompassing business development, origination, new market initiatives, and project management.
  • Effectively coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including clients, consultants, key industry players, and regulatory bodies.
  • Supervising and preparing client deliverables, including research and write-ups.
  • Leading the management of transactions and engagements.
