Urban Planning Specialist

The Urban Planning Specialist role involves conducting research on planning trends, policies, legislation, and market conditions to support project development.

  • We require a team member to prepare reports, presentations, diagrams, technical drawings, and other deliverables on time and to the highest quality achievable;
  • Gathering essential information for planning proposals through site assessments is crucial;
  • Effective communication with our office is necessary to ensure seamless collaboration;
  • Flexible working hours are required to align with our needs, including working 1pm-8pm on certain days when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Urban Planning/ Architecture/ Geography or similar field is mandatory;
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment/ graphics firm/advertising agency is required;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate and work with departmental staff and management are essential;
  • Knowledge of current planning best practice and sustainable development is critical;
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and experience using them to create diverse design solutions is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in urban planning/ property sector would be beneficial;
  • Ability to work with AI software would be an asset;
  • Proficiency in Autodesk products including Civil3d and AutoCAD would be advantageous.
