Loan Reviewer

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Reviewer to join our team. As a Loan Reviewer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of mortgage loan files.

The primary responsibilities of this position include reviewing mortgage files submitted for underwriting, calculating income, analyzing debt and assets, and completing an in-depth review of the completed appraisal and title.

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for individuals who possess strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough reviews of mortgage loan files to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Utilize automated underwriting systems to determine approval and clearing conditions for final approval
  • Enter data into client loan operating systems and maintain accurate records
  • Evaluate and clear red flags or issues identified during the review process
  • Issue loan decisions and condition files accordingly
  • Review and approve conditions for compliance and completion of loan files
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE 2+ years conventional mortgage loan underwriting experience
  • Strong knowledge of income calculations, tax returns, reading credit reports, identifying red flags
  • Basic knowledge of appraisal and ability to recognize red flags and ineligible properties
  • Thorough working knowledge of GSE underwriting guidelines and automated underwriting engines (DU/LP)
  • Strong analytic, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong ability to time manage
  • Ability to work in a flexible and production-oriented environment
  • NMLS-MLO Licensure preferred

Candidates must be available to work outside of normal business hours when necessary
