Sought after audit professionals will be responsible for leading and managing residential real estate sector audits. This role requires expertise in affordable housing programs, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, HUD guidelines, and IRS Section 42 requirements.

  • Lead audits for LIHTC and HUD-funded projects, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Prepare financial statements, audit workpapers, and compliance reports in accordance with LIHTC regulations, IRS Section 42, and state housing finance agency requirements.
  • Drive client engagements and ensure timely delivery of audit deliverables.
  • Provide strategic guidance on compliance monitoring, risk mitigation, and internal control assessments for affordable housing entities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality service and insights to clients navigating complex affordable housing regulations.
  • Mentor and train audit staff on LIHTC/HUD-specific audit procedures and evolving regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
  • CPA or CA certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on affordable housing or LIHTC engagements.
  • In-depth knowledge of affordable housing regulations, HUD audit protocols, and LIHTC program sensitivities.
  • Experience with audit platforms such as CaseWare, CCH, and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global delivery model and manage cross-border teams.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
