Senior Technical Lead

Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished professional to spearhead a dynamic team in VLSI and Embedded Systems. A background in designing and realizing electronic systems for airborne applications is paramount.

This role involves leadership, technical expertise, project management, quality, and compliance in the field of VLSI and Embedded Systems. As a senior engineer, you will lead a team, driving innovation and ensuring successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a VLSI and Embedded Systems team, providing strategic guidance and support.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Technical Expertise:

• Utilize extensive experience in analog, digital, and mixed electronics to design and develop advanced electronic systems.
• Apply VHDL and C programming skills in the design, simulation, and verification of complex systems.
• Ensure the design and realization of electronics systems meet rigorous requirements for airborne applications.
• Guide the PCB CAD team in PCB Design, particularly in component placement and routing.
• Guide the MECH CAD team in design of housings/enclosures.
• Desirable experience in power electronics and engine control.

Project Management:

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, purchase, production, customer, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project integration.
• Manage project resources effectively.
• Conduct regular project reviews and provide updates to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Design Analysis – SI, PI, Power Budget, Thermal, Structural, Derating, Reliability, FMEA, FMECA, etc.
• Prepare documents complying with regulatory requirements, including design documents, analysis reports, ATP, QTP, V&V, and other documents as per industry standards.

Quality and Compliance:

• Ensure all designs and developments comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly for airborne applications.
• Knowledge and experience with DO-254, DO-178, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, JSS55555, etc., are essential.
• Experience with qualifying products for airworthiness as prescribed by regulatory bodies.
• Implement best practices in design, testing, and validation to achieve high reliability and performance.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay abreast of advancements in VLSI and embedded systems technology.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering their professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in analog, digital, and mixed electronics design and development.
• Proficiency in VHDL and C programming.
• Proven experience in designing and realizing electronic systems for airborne applications.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with FPGA design and development.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for airborne systems.
• Knowledge of advanced simulation and verification tools.
• Understanding of subsystem, system-level design, and integration.
