Incident Manager Job Description

As an Incident Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and facilitate immediate response to incidents for groups of end users.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive and solve for service restoration as soon as possible, minimizing business impact.

You will also be responsible for creating documentation for incident details per exit criteria to Problem Management, communicating incident status to various levels of the organization, and providing direction and coaching to technical support employees involved in the incident.

A strong background in leadership, interpersonal skills, and communication is essential for this role. Experience working with collaboration products/SaaS solutions, hosting, and other infrastructure components is highly desirable.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and facilitate immediate response to incidents for groups of end users
  • Advises/consults on moderately complex to complex incidents including significant events and management communications
  • Actively engages other IT groups and/or Business partners to drive and solve for service restoration as soon as possible, minimizing business impact
  • Creates documentation for incident details per exit criteria to Problem Management
  • Communicates incident status to various levels of the organization
  • Provide direction and coaching to technical support employees involved in the incident
  • Requirements:
