  • You'll engineer infrastructure technology for public and private cloud environments, ensuring compliance with security, resilience, sustainability, and operational requirements with observability and guardrails built in.
  • Additionally, you'll use automation to provide testing and a route to live for the product, collaborating with customers to help them use our products appropriately through a users' CI or CD pipeline.
  • This role involves working with colleagues across the organization to share engineering best practices, expanding your network and gaining exposure for yourself and your work.
  • The selected candidate will contribute to and manage the selection, creation, and maintenance of technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, strategic targets, and architecture outcomes.

As an Infrastructure Expert, you'll develop modern engineering practices and tools to create products that meet the needs of our customers. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to inform product roadmaps, detailing lifecycles of the technology from new products through to end of support and retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical skills through continuous learning and development.
  • Work within a team to design intuitive, self-service infrastructure products.
  • Use automation to provide testing and a route to live for the product.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to inform product roadmaps.
  • Analyze and improve performance of databases, in collaboration with application developers.
  • Ensure stable delivery and operation of database infrastructure, including Oracle, AWS RDS, MSSQL, AWS Aurora, and PostgreSQL.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in software development or automation scripting, such as Python or Shell.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in utilizing modern infrastructure as code via tooling.
  • Able to relate everyday work to the vision of the feature team, platform, and domain.
  • Experience of working as a Database Administrator for at least one specific DB technology with AWS RDS databases and necessary services in AWS.
  • Experience in setting up resource monitoring with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and its analysis on Oracle database servers, using specific tools like RMAN and Oracle RAC.
  • Experience of high availability solutions, disaster recovery, business continuity technologies, and integration methodologies.
  • Experience of working with operating systems like Solaris, Redhat & Windows Server.
  • Experienced in ITIL for Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
