Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan, architect, and guide complex infrastructure deployments and migrations for large enterprise customers moving from on-premises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years of experience on Azure VMware Solution and 5 years of experience on VMware vSphere Azure cloud services deployments and cloud migrations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan, architect, and guide complex infrastructure deployments and migrations for large enterprise customers.
  • Work directly with customer application infrastructure and security stakeholders to define requirements, strategy, and processes for successful design, deployment, and migrations.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest Azure AVS and VMware products to propose designs to customers and act as a subject matter expert trainer for other specialists.
  • Share knowledge with others through solution documents, engage technical communities, build automated self-help solutions, and create training materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Core Competencies:
  • Relevant experience in architecting and designing data center and cloud infrastructures using VMware and Microsoft technologies.
  • Knowledge and implementation experience in designing and developing solutions using VMware's Core Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Azure VMware Solution, VMware vSphere (version 6.0 and above), and NSX network virtualization technologies.
  • NSX edge services, DNS, DHCP, Gateway, Firewall, Distributed Firewall, NSX implementation, and NSX migration from VLAN or NSXv.
  • VMware vSAN, VMware HCX Advanced Enterprise, preferred VMware Site Recovery Manager, vSphere Replication, and preferred VMware management suite (vCD, vROps, vRNI, vRLI).
  • Preferred VMware Cloud Director, experience with on-premises-to-cloud or cloud-to-cloud migrations using VMware HCX, and relevant Azure technologies.

Qualifications
  • Education Qualifications:
  • BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or technology-focused discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • VCDX-DCV-CMA certification is preferred but not required.
  • CCDP, CCNP, VCP-NV certification is preferred but not required.
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with enterprise customers on Azure-specific solutions and deployments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with corporate customers, possess an understanding of the onboarding process, and demonstrate a vision for the future.
  • Excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving critical and politically charged customer situations.
