Job Title: Release Manager Lead

Overview:

This is a highly skilled and experienced position that requires strong leadership abilities and expertise in release management. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the release process and be able to develop and execute comprehensive plans to ensure timely and successful releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Release Planning & Execution: Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Development, QA, Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure all teams are aligned and prepared for upcoming releases.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, track, and mitigate potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
• Change Management: Ensure all changes are well-documented, communicated, and approved according to established change control processes.
• Cloud Deployment Oversight: Coordinate deployments in cloud environments (e.g., AWS), ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
• Automation & CI/CD: Champion continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices; drive automation to improve release reliability and efficiency.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track release progress and provide regular updates, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
• Issue Resolution: Lead the resolution of issues during release phases to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Release Calendar Management: Maintain and manage the organization's release calendar, ensuring coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
• Merge Management: Oversee the merging of validated changes into main code branches, coordinating closely with development and QA teams.
• Change Advisory Board (CAB): Present planned changes in CAB meetings and secure approvals as required across different regions.
• Go/No-Go Readiness: Organize and conduct Go/No-Go meetings with stakeholders to assess readiness before deployment.
• Post-Release Activities: Monitor post-release performance, coordinate hotfixes if needed, and facilitate Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR).
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all release-related documentation is complete, up-to-date, and meets compliance/audit standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification in Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
• Familiarity with Containerization & Orchestration Tools: Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Experience with Monitoring & Observability Tools: Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Strong Understanding of Release Processes: Strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments
• Proven Ability to Drive Process Improvements: Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
