Job Title: Sous Chef

Accor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage kitchen supplies.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food meets the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen systems and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of kitchen operations, including inventory, supplies, and staff performance.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification (minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery) with relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
