Senior Fund Accounting Specialist

As a key member of our fund accounting team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely net asset values. Your role will involve performing various types of reconciliation between client general ledger data and market data providers.

This position requires a blend of product knowledge and technology usage. You will be working with the accounting of corporate actions, booking of trading and non-trading accruals, pricing of portfolios, computation and analysis of profit and loss.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating with clients and external sources for break resolution. You must be able to work under tight deadlines, maintain quality delivery as per standard operating procedures, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing open-ended hedge funds with reconciliation and integration of trades for clients.
  • Accounting/booking of corporate action trades.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly GAV/NAV preparation which includes:
  • Booking of capital activities.
  • Market value reconciliation.
  • Computation of profit and loss for financial instruments.
  • Expense accounting.
  • Dividend accrual reconciliation,
  • Bond coupon accrual reconciliation,
  • Confirming trial balance ledgers tie-up with various sub-ledgers.
  • In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).
Requirements:
  • Chartered accountant or MBA with 5+ years of experience.
  • In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Good understanding on financial/capital markets products of equity, bonds, futures, options, FX forwards.
  • Hands-on in working with MS Excel and formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
