We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in product design, including a thorough understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes and tools such as SolidWorks and Cre-O. They will be responsible for designing innovative products that meet customer needs and improve the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product designs to determine the most efficient production/assembly process using solid modeling software.
  • Perform DFX analysis and create reports with potential issues and recommendations to eliminate.
  • Share and review DFX reports with customers and propose modifications/alternatives to reduce product costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and suitable metrics for product performance.
  • Develop and implement continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • BE/B.Tech (Mechanical/Automotive/Production) or Diploma (Mechanical/Automotive) professional with typically 4-12 years of experience in sheet metal design, manufacturing, and DFX analysis.
  • Diploma in Tool and Die Making is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in die design, manufacturing processes, and materials.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D CAD software tools and sheet metal die design tools such as SolidWorks, Cre-O, Logo Press, and AutoForm-DieDesigner.
  • Experience in fixture and gauge design for sheet metal product production.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
