Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Research Lead to join our team. As a Senior Financial Research Lead, you will lead and grow a team of financial analysts, ensuring high-quality research delivery. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our financial capabilities and streamline operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the quality and accuracy of financial research delivered to clients.
  • Collaborate with tech, product, and data science teams to iteratively improve financial models, turnaround times, and accuracy levels of the research team.
  • Develop a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in creating new taxonomies and processing new types of financial documents.
  • Hire, train, and manage financial analysts to support operational goals and uphold the highest standards of quality.
Key Requirements
  • Middle Market Financial Modeling: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining financial models for middle market companies ($50M - $1B+ revenue)
  • Capital Structure Analysis: Deep understanding of debt and equity structures, including complex financing arrangements and their impact on financial performance
  • Lease Accounting & Analysis: Expertise in lease accounting standards (ASC 842/IFRS 16) and ability to analyze various lease structures and their financial implications.
Core Technical Skills
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Ability to perform detailed analysis of financial statements, with particular focus on notes to accounts and footnote disclosures
  • Data Adjustment & Normalization: Skilled at identifying and making appropriate adjustments to reported figures based on analysis of accounting notes, one-time items, and non-standard accounting treatments
  • Model Building: Proficiency in creating dynamic, scenario-based financial models with proper documentation and audit trails
