US Tax Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with 0-3 years of experience in general accounting and looking to grow their skills in US GAAP.

About the role

This tax professional will be responsible for collecting tax forms, tracking client paperwork, preparing tax returns, and producing tax reports. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project deliverables and client engagements.
  • Prepare and self-review all types of tax returns.
  • Assist senior associates drive deliverables.
  • Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
  • Manage and maintain the company's tax database.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities.
  • Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.
  • Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Master's Degree in Accounting with US Taxation experience.
  • Inter CA, CA, CPA, or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification (or progress towards certification) – preferred.
  • Skilled at building client rapport and working relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and other US accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
