  • Our team is responsible for leading global efforts in thermal management, working closely with engineers to develop advanced climate control systems that meet the needs of our customers.
  • We have a strong presence in key locations around the world, including Bangalore, Curitiba, and Gothenburg, and collaborate closely with vehicle engineering sites in the USA, Australia, and France.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To define cab climate functions in collaboration with thermal cooling and heating engineers, ensuring they meet driver experience and cabin climate requirements while maintaining safe temperature and pressure limits.
  2. Support performance target setting at individual component level for components developed by owners, focusing on durability and efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with simulation analysts to analyze cooling and heating system performance virtually, plan testing, and connect with full vehicle testing teams for verification.
  4. Verify heating system test outcomes, recommend necessary actions, and ensure compliance with set requirements.
  5. Secure vehicle legal and certification requirements from heating and cooling systems.
  6. Own and lead System FMEA for heating and cooling systems, guiding DFMEAs by component owners and engineers.
  7. Ensure heating and cooling system security and End User Function requirements like cab heating function.
  8. Take responsibility for QDCF (Quality, Delivery, Cost & Feature) of your system.
  9. Support component engineers with component performance and durability targets as input for supplier selection and agreements.
  10. Define level 4 time plans, including cross-functional milestones using APQP as the supporting process.
  11. Manage Q-Tools like D-FMEA, S-FMEA, Risk register, DFA(Manufacturing), and DFAM (After Market).
  12. Take full engineering responsibility and deliver tasks independently, guiding junior team members within the Thermal Management group.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of thermal management principles and practices.
  • Experience with climate control systems design and development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in thermal management or related field.

Additional Information:

  • This job requires regular travel to company sites and external meetings.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
