Editorial Project Manager Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Editorial Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end book publishing process. This includes managing writers, editors, and designers to ensure the creation of high-quality content that meets our brand's standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the editorial process, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with authors and writers to understand their vision and guide them through the writing process.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines to ensure timely delivery of books.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including authors, editors, and designers.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the project stays on track.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management within the publishing industry.
  • Strong understanding of the book publishing process from manuscript to publication.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard editing and design software is a plus.

  • Work Type: In-Office, Fulltime.
  • Working Days: 6 Days a week (Monday to Saturday).
