Agile Team Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Agile Team Manager to lead and mentor our agile teams, driving excellence in agile delivery and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, the ability to manage complex projects, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in dynamic environments.

As an Agile Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of agile practices, facilitating collaboration across teams, and supporting the professional growth of agile teams within the organization.

  • Lead and coach multiple agile teams, promoting agile best practices and a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Provide strong leadership by guiding teams in the adoption and implementation of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Facilitate key agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and aligned with project goals.
  • Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership to define clear objectives, deliverables, and success metrics for agile projects.
  • Identify and proactively address impediments, risks, and dependencies that may impact team performance and project timelines.
  • Utilize agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts) to monitor team performance and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop agile coaches, fostering their professional growth and enhancing agile capabilities across the organization.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, enhance team efficiency, and drive innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent agile certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing multiple agile teams.
  • Strong expertise in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS) and agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in agile project management tools such as Jira, Rally, or VersionOne.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, Spotify model, Nexus, etc.).
  • Background in software development, IT operations, or product management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
