Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software testing principles and practices, as well as experience with mobile test automation using Appium (iOS and Android).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile, web, and backend services.
  • Conduct thorough testing across multiple layers of the application frontend, backend, and integrations.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts to validate application functionality and performance.
  • Implement and maintain mobile automation frameworks using Appium.
  • Identify, record, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Continuously improve test coverage, test effectiveness, and QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Experience testing applications across backend, frontend, and integration points.
  • Expertise in mobile test automation using Appium (iOS and Android).
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in QA is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in writing test scripts using Java, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Exposure to API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications.
