About the Role

This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The HSE Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to ensure workplace safety and mitigate environmental impact.
  • Train employees on safety procedures and guidelines to create a culture of safety awareness.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain and update safety data sheets and other relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety and environmental considerations into projects and operations.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to health, safety, and environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HSE Engineer in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
