Key Data Scientist Role

This is a critical position in the data science team where you will develop and deploy credit risk models for the retail segment. The primary focus will be on acquisition, portfolio management, and collections.

Responsibilities:
  • Align data initiatives with business objectives by working closely with the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Business, and Risk to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Develop machine learning models across the customer lifecycle: acquisition, portfolio, and collections.
  • Optimize credit risk strategies through data-driven insights and advanced modeling.
  • Review existing models/analyses and propose refinements for better performance.
  • Build customer risk segmentation, profiles, and strategies to improve collections and recovery management.
  • Leverage alternate data sources to enhance credit risk models.
  • Provide actionable recommendations for improving risk frameworks and business outcomes.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Mandatory Skills:
    • Hands-on experience in Data Science, preferably in fintech or banking.
    • Proven expertise in developing ML models for credit risk (acquisition, behavior, collections scorecards, etc.).
    • Strong programming and data handling skills: Python, SQL.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Experience in strategy and business analytics.
    • Exposure to propensity scorecards and advanced ML techniques.
    • Graduation/Post-graduation from Tier-1 institutes.
