Job Title: Operational Risk Management Leader

 

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and manage independent projects across various operational risk management areas. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial services industry, its businesses, regulators, and their roles.

  • Lead and manage independent projects across operational risk management areas such as internal control assessments, third-party risk management, incident management, loss data, and business continuity for financial institutions.
  • Review, verify, and validate existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices for theoretical soundness and identify control weaknesses.
  • Meet business needs and regulatory expectations by assessing key aspects of each area under review.
  • Demonstrate independence in planning and stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation, and presentation.
  • Work with a broad group of stakeholders to investigate operational risk and governance standards and undertake detailed risk and control self-assessment (RCSA).
  • Develop and implement knowledge, risk, and issue (KRI) monitoring and establish linkages to loss data and incident reporting workflows.
  • Responsible for preparation of proposals, pitch decks, presenting in client meetings, and thought leadership documents.
  • Lead and be responsible for team building, mentoring, and project management.

Requirements:

  • A deep understanding of process risk and controls, associated compliance requirements, and the ability to work in a global scope.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project management skills are essential.
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
