Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to build and maintain robust, scalable server-side applications using modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Scalable Services: Utilize Node.js and NestJS framework to create efficient backend services.
  • Build RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture: Design and implement API architecture using microservices principles.
  • Database Schemas and Optimizations: Design and implement database schemas, queries, and optimizations in PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with Frontend Developers: Work with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Clean and Maintainable Code: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Implement Automated Testing Strategies: Use Jest or similar frameworks for unit and integration tests.
  • Monitor Application Performance: Troubleshoot issues in production environments and ensure application performance.
  • Participate in Code Reviews and Technical Decision-Making: Contribute to code reviews and technical decision-making processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of professional backend development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with NestJS framework.
  • Solid experience working with PostgreSQL database.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, or similar).
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with other databases (Redis, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with message queues and pub/sub patterns.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL.
Technical Skills:
  • Languages: Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript.
  • Frameworks: NestJS, Express.js.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis.
  • Tools: Git, Docker, npm/yarn.
  • Testing: Jest, Supertest.
  • Others: REST APIs, SQL, Database Design.
