Job Overview

This is a key role in our organization, focused on the end-to-end lifecycle of software assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement, license management, compliance, renewals, and vendor coordination.

The Software Asset Management Analyst will work closely with IT, procurement, legal, and desktop support teams to ensure software usage aligns with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Request & License Management
  • Process software requests via digital platforms.
  • Validate license availability and assign licenses through vendor portals.
  • Maintain accurate records of license assignments, usage, and compliance.
  • Contract & Renewal Management
  • Track contract expirations using dashboards.
  • Coordinate with legal and procurement for contract reviews and renewals.
  • Ensure contracts are active and published before order creation.
  • Procurement & Purchase Order Process
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and orders in enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for approval and documentation.
  • Vendor & Communication Management
  • Use shared mailboxes for all vendor interactions.
  • Ensure communications are tagged to relevant tickets.
  • Coordinate with vendors for quotes and order confirmations.
  • Compliance & Audit
  • Conduct regular license usage reviews and reclaim unused licenses.
  • Ensure actions are documented for audit and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in software asset management or IT procurement.
  • Proficiency in enterprise systems and tools.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
