Accessibility Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accessibility Specialist to join our team. As an Accessibility Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all digital products meet accessibility standards.

This includes auditing, testing, and remediation of digital content to ensure it is accessible to people with disabilities. You will work closely with design, development, and QA teams to ensure that all digital products meet accessibility requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, and Section 504/508. You will also have hands-on experience with tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Responsibilities:
  • Audit digital content to identify accessibility issues
  • Test digital content to ensure it meets accessibility standards
  • Remediate digital content to make it accessible
  • Work with design, development, and QA teams to ensure accessibility
  • Stay up-to-date with accessibility standards and best practices
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards
  • Hands-on experience with accessibility tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IAAP CPWA (Certified Professional in Web Accessibility)
  • IAAP WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist)
  • IAAP ADS (Accessible Document Specialist)
  • DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester
  • IAAP CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies)
