Engineering Director

We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Director to lead our resort's engineering operations.

This position will oversee the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless engineering services for our properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and standardize engineering policies and procedures.
    • Oversee capital expenditure projects, including renovations and new builds, to ensure timely and budget-aligned delivery.
    • Set benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for property-level engineering teams to measure success.
  • Maintenance & Operations:
    • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to optimize MEP systems' performance.
    • Coordinate with resort teams to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Energy & Sustainability:
    • Drive energy conservation initiatives to reduce consumption and lower costs.
    • Implement sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards to minimize environmental impact.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure regulatory compliance across all properties, conducting regular audits to mitigate risks.
    • Promote a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Team Development & Management:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management:
    • Manage annual engineering budgets to optimize resource allocation.
    • Approve expenditures for maintenance and capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Advanced certifications in facility or energy management are preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in hospitality engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership positions.
