Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anesthesiologist to join our esteemed team. As a key member of the anesthesia department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preoperative Assessment
    • Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and risk stratification.
    • Optimize medical comorbidities and obtain informed consent for anesthesia.
    • Collaborate with surgical teams for complex cases, ensuring seamless planning and execution.
  • Intraoperative Anesthesia Management
    • Administer general, regional, spinal, epidural, or monitored anesthesia care (MAC) based on procedure and patient profile.
    • Monitor vital signs and maintain hemodynamic stability during surgery using modern anesthesia machines and monitors.
    • Manage intraoperative emergencies and complications promptly, prioritizing patient safety.
  • Postoperative Care
    • Ensure safe transfer of patients to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or intensive care unit (ICU).
    • Monitor post-anesthetic recovery, pain control, and manage postoperative nausea, vomiting, and complications.
    • Provide consultative input for post-operative critical care if required, leveraging expertise to optimize patient outcomes.
  • ICU and Emergency Support
    • Assist in critical care procedures such as airway management, intubation, and hemodynamic stabilization.
    • Respond to code blue/emergency calls within the hospital, demonstrating quick thinking and decisive action.
    • Support ICU and HDU teams in managing ventilated or unstable patients, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Pain Management
    • Participate in acute and chronic pain management services, utilizing evidence-based practices to improve patient comfort and quality of life.
    • Perform nerve blocks, epidurals, or advanced techniques under ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in pain management.
  • Academic & Training
    • Teach and mentor anesthesia residents, junior doctors, and interns, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
    • Attend and contribute to departmental continuing medical education (CME) programs, workshops, and clinical audits, staying current with best practices and research findings.
    • Participate in ongoing clinical research and quality improvement programs, driving innovation and excellence in anesthesia care.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate and timely records: anesthesia notes, intraoperative charts, consent forms, and complication logs.
    • Follow hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and medico-legal documentation norms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in internal audits, accreditation inspections, and departmental reviews, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
