PostgreSQL Database Expert

We are seeking a seasoned PostgreSQL database expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of database best practices, high availability (HA) setups, and managing heavily utilized production environments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production and development environments ensuring optimal performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning.
  • Manage database capacity planning, including growth projections and storage optimization to meet business needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain high availability solutions such as replication, clustering, and failover mechanisms to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans to guarantee data integrity and business continuity.
  • Perform query tuning and indexing to optimize application performance and improve user experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL databases in production environments with expertise in designing and implementing HA architectures.
  • Proficiency in database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies with a focus on scalability and reliability.

  • Database uptime and response time.

  • Application performance and user satisfaction.
