Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Database Expertise Professional to join our team. As a key member of our database administration group, you will be responsible for designing, testing, planning, protecting, and implementing databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage locking, process blocking, and performance tuning of databases
  • Create high-availability and disaster-recovery-friendly architectures
  • Optimize, test, and verify backup and restoration processes
  • Develop monitoring and metrics tooling for granular database insight
  • Preventatively manage infrastructure, mitigating potential future issues
  • Handle support tickets, backing up peers when necessary
  • Develop and deploy new database objects, modifying existing ones
  • Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers for application development
  • Design and maintain complex relational database reports using SSRS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of relational database architecture and MSSQL
  • Knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, and support tooling
  • T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and daily DB functions expertise
  • Expertise in optimizing MSSQL and implementing HA/DR
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles and relational database design
  • Experience with Always on High Availability Groups is beneficial
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for complex issues
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on workload
  • Implementation of best-practices and team standards
  • Clear communication of ideas and suggestions to managers and peers
  • Constructive criticism of peers' changes and code
  • Cloud database storage technology experience
