Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Exadata Database Administrator to oversee the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of our critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

This is a hands-on position requiring technical expertise, cloud migration experience, and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms, ensuring operational readiness for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Continuous engagement with our client base.
  • New customer transition, administration, and maintenance planning.
  • Ensuring continuous communications in a consultative approach.
  • Administering and optimizing Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand).
  • Managing Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Leading and supporting end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
  • Designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate).
  • Monitoring and tuning performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automating database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Collaborating with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Experience with ERP systems on Oracle databases (JDE/E1 preferred).
  • Strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred.
  • Experience with AWS cloud databases is a plus; AWS certifications desired.
