System Reliability Expert

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned System Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and improve digital products and technology services provided to clients and employees.
  • Apply software engineering practices, including user needs analysis, feature development, automated testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure solution quality, security, reliability, and compliance by applying digital principles and implementing functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Build observability into solutions, monitor production health, resolve incidents, and remediate root causes of risks and issues.
  • Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute to engineering culture and internal communities.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computers or equivalent, focusing on code development and maintenance.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar position, focused on Core banking integration area in a development role.
  • Interest in learning new technologies and practices, reusing strategic platforms and standards, evaluating options, and making decisions with long-term sustainability in mind.
  • Strong communication skills, from presentations to technical writing.
  • Good knowledge in Java and relevant Java tech stack.
  • Awareness of 'Clean Code' and clean coding practices.
  • Test Driven Development and ability to design Unit, Integration, and Functional tests.
  • API first design.
  • Understanding of modern architecture and design patterns, including event-driven systems and Microservices.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and hands-on DevOps experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with onsite and offshore teams during solution delivery.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly proactive team player eager to support colleagues when needed.
  • Prepared to take on responsibility for tasks and work independently.
