Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Database Architect to lead our database strategy and design scalable solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into efficient database designs, creating ER diagrams, and implementing indexing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to ensure data modeling meets business needs.
  • Optimize complex SQL queries, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and implement query optimization techniques.
  • Implement data warehousing solutions for reporting and analytics, and develop ETL processes for system-to-system data integration.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers and conduct code reviews to enforce best practices.
  • Maintain database security, access control, and data integrity, as well as handle patching, upgrades, and migrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8 years of experience as a Database Developer (MySQL & MS SQL).
  • Expert-level SQL programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and strong knowledge of database design and data modeling.
  • Experience with performance tuning, large-scale database optimization, and administration tasks.
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
  • Knowledge of additional databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle).

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
