Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineering Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems using Azure Data Factory (ADF).

The successful applicant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design ADF workflows that meet those needs. They will also develop complex SQL queries using Oracle ADF or SSIS to extract data from disparate systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain ADF pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Azure Storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design ADF workflows that meet those needs.
  • Develop complex SQL queries using Oracle ADF or SSIS to extract data from disparate systems.
  • Integrate ADF with other Microsoft services such as Azure Databricks for big data processing.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to ADF pipeline failures and optimize performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Azure Services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python, SQL, or Scala, depending on the data processing tools used.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and practices.
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Azure storage solutions, including Blob Storage, File Shares, and Data Lake Storage.
  • Experience working on large-scale data migration projects involving multiple stakeholders.
