Embedded Firmware Tester

  • A comprehensive understanding of embedded firmware testing principles and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware debugging tools and techniques, including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, emulators, simulators, debuggers, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Proficiency in testing IoT devices and experience with cloud-based IoT firmware testing.
  • Expertise in automation testing using Labview, Python, or similar languages.
  • Ability to test communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485.
  • Experience with cellular protocols (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, LTE, NB-IoT, Cat-M).
  • Knowledge of RF testing and cellular network simulators.
  • Strong expertise in battery technologies, power profiling, and energy efficiency testing.
  • Proficient in working with CAN tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN, etc.) for data logging, analysis, and debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN communication (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.).

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Tester to join our team. As an Embedded Firmware Tester, you will be responsible for testing and validating the functionality of embedded systems, including firmware and software components.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute test plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
  3. Design and implement test scripts to automate testing processes.
  4. Analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  5. Work closely with engineers to resolve issues and optimize system performance.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in embedded firmware testing.
  • Strong background in electronics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
